So today in parenting my 8 yr old... We are throwing a 3rd party for a possibly haunted doll my daughter found at a thrift store.

I've spent a lot of this week off holding guinea pigs, and I'm not mad about it. Her name is Nugget.

Do I decorate my classroom because I have students who have really crappy home lives and need a cheery atmosphere? Yes, absolutely. That is 99% of my motivation. The other 1% is that I am here until 8 PM on Mondays with my son who is in the area's symphony, and I like the ambience too.

We are a "Christmas starts November 1st" family.
