Keaton and Nicholson shared longtime bond While they did not share the screen until 2003, Keaton and Nicholson knew each other for decades prior. In her 2011 memoir Then Again, Keaton wrote that Something's Gotta Give wound up being her "favorite film" even though she worried going in that it was a "doomed project." Keaton also referred to Nicholson as the “original bad boy.”
