To the uneducated in these matters what does this mean, was a Russian stunt to confuse, challenge, mock NATO? Apologies for my lack of knowledg.

Truly hilarious and genius, well played to its creator(s). 👏👏

Rubbish, I live on Teesside and a)never voted for him, b) those. that did had no way of knowing he would sell publicly owned assets for £1.

Anna Turley my MP and whose constituency is in one of the Boroughs involved, gave assurances at a public meeting just before the GE that she’d been told by Labour leadership the NAO would be sent to investigate within Labour’s first 6 months if they won.

David Yelland noted a few years ago that if you wanted; publicity, £, a platform and a large following, pivot Right, this is where the algorithms on X and FB ‘push’ audiences.

Very interesting interview, the vitriol aimed towards her compared to that of the man involved in the incident is all too sadly unsurprising.

Lisa Nandy was such a poor choice for Culture Secretary, time & time again she displays her unsuitability in the post, she appears to have no cultural hinterland nor any interest in ‘the arts’ as a whole.

Surely this a comedy poll, Zara Sultana on -24, surely she’d be nearer -124?

Some of the scandi crime writers are first rate, Jo Nesbo and Henning Mankell are two I’d recommend, also Robert Wilson‘s ‘Inspector Falcon novels are great reads.

Insightful interview on C4 News with leading psychiatrist, his view is; greater awareness and understanding of many mental health conditions = more people are being diagnosed, his concern is that ‘we’ are at risk of pathologising mental illness across the board, this can have debilitating effect.

Stunning photograph, looks like a poster for art house film.

Do you think this is one of the reasons for MTG stepping down, by removing herself from Trump’s orbit, she can stand as a ‘true’ Republican?

NF hates being questioned, loves spouting rehearsed rhetoric and holding court, not so much deep dive interviews, he’s the TikTok politician, two minute sound bites. The interviewer was a real pro, calm, insistent, insightful and determined, if only all interviewers conducted themselves like this.

I’m really surprised this hasn’t gained far more traction given the seriousness of it and his closeness to Farage during his time as MEP?
November 21, 2025 at 10:19 PM
Totally agree, as someone who voted for Starmer as leader of LP and voted Labour at GE, they’ve proven hugely amatuer, weak, cowardly, lacking in vision, integrity, political acumen and a optimistic narrative, wholly self inflicted and deeply disappointin.

Highly fascinating and informative insight into inner workings, disfunctionality and insularity at the BBC, Gibb & Grossman don’t come out of this well. Surely now‘s the time to have a wholly independent board at the BBC, no political appointments, new Chair is necessary, Shah is out of his depth.

Who’s pocketing the interest on this?
November 5, 2025 at 9:53 PM
From the little I’ve seen of him, I can see the appeal, I hope he wins, he’s a little like Obama when he was campaigning to win his senate seat, fresh, engaging, great communicator, smart, personable and relatable.
November 4, 2025 at 10:08 PM
Don’t agree, warnings were there pre Trump, weak productivity, crumbling infrastructure, hollowed out essential services, Ukraine war, Brexit etc, all known, all requiring huge investment and long term financial support, yet PM & CoEX pretended we could improve it all without significant tax hikes.

Interesting when you look at the significant role social media has played in NY Mayoral election, Mandani is huge on TikTok and Insta and it looks as if this engagement could help him win the mayoralty.

Wasn’t aware it was a ‘rant’ but hey ho, each to their own. My point is, all credible economists and think tanks prior to the GE stated that ‘whoever won GE would have to put up taxes’, the head of IFS labelled both Labour & Tory’s as ‘financially dishonest‘ in their campaign and manifesto pledges.
November 4, 2025 at 9:46 PM
Absolutely this, I’m infuriated by Reeves & Starmer’s timidity and dishonesty, every man, woman, child & beast knew taxes would have to rise, they’ve wasted 18 months dancing on the head of a pin. They had such goodwill when they won the GE, the majority of the public would have accepted tax rises.
