This super cool #Superman bookend must have popped up on everybody’s feed, because in the span of one week I received not one, not two, not three, but FOUR of them as surprise gifts from dear friends—who for some strange reason associate me with Superman.

I wrote this for a friend whose home was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
The devastation that so many are experiencing in the #LAFires reminded me.
Nothing can bring back what’s lost, but it may help to know that as long as we’re breathing, there is hope and possibility.

We play Uno with prison rules. All stacking, including draw cards—and if you have a draw card you can add to the stack for the person after you.
