Since I'm home sick with a respiratory infection, I figured I'd try knitting again. It's hard for me to get but it gets a bit better each time. This swatch looks pretty good. I tried my hand spun. I like the look. Though trying to get that needle under the loop for the knit stitch is such a pain.

My crochet shawl is coming along. It's sport weight cotton so it's slow. But I'm fine with that. I like thinner yarns for shawls here in the DEEP South.

We got home later than usual today and the kitties were extra eager for their dinner. As I tried to walk to their food container with them swirling and screaming directly in front of me I told them, "You know I love you because I'm feeding you before I take my bra off". True love indeed.

You know it's Summer when it's already warm and humid first thing in the morning, the magnolias are blooming, the cicadas are screaming, and construction crews are everywhere trying to finish projects before the students get back for Fall term.

Alas, steam blocking acrylic actually makes a big difference. So it must be done. No skipping steps today.

I'm loving this color way. It's a Big Twist skein so we'll see if I can get more later. But the pastel rainbow is lovely!

It's a purse! Sort of. I still need to make a handle, line it, assemble, and then it's a purse. I'm making some for sale. Trying to decide if I want to do in person markets or sell on Mayhem Marketplace.

I'm just constantly bouncing back and forth between mental and emotional exhaustion and frustration/fury. The world, at least my local world, is a chaotic mess because some greedy, self righteous creatures are selfish and destructive.

Mending clothes is truly not for the impatient. I'm running out of pants that don't have holes so it's past time to start patching. Linen blend frays badly but it's so comfortable. #mending #slowcrafting

Did I stress spin some cotton out of a medicine bottle as an experiment? Yes. It wasn't as bad a fiber as I thought it would be. I might have more stashed somewhere.
