A chart of London's absolute productivity would still show it far outstripping every other region, so it is not necessarily a bad thing - for the UK or London - to have other regions closing the gap. The issue is more our low productivity and the speed we transition to a greener economy overall

Agree that ir are not right tool to address structural issues in price of food (or energy), but would like to see more that an plan to pass the through as Climateflation will keep happening unless we build a more resilient food system

Market response to mini-budget was not "you can't spend" but "you have to spend well". Borrowing for tax cuts is not a path to growth, but borrowing to kickstart investment in net zero and nature positive infrastructure - warm homes, natural flood management, less polluted roads - lowers costs

Biofuel is a small but growing part of global soybean use. Here in the US, a number of recent policy moves (higher blending mandates, tax credits, curbs on foreign biofuel imports and feedstocks) are likely to result in MORE THAN HALF of all US soybean oil being burned as biofuel next year.
