It reminds me of the chair Worf had in his cabin on the Enterprise. Seen using it here while welcoming his parents during one of their onboard visits.

In the first mishap, the Truman had to take extreme evasive action to avoid incoming attack. Aircraft carriers pitch over A LOT when in a hard turn.
The mishap today was some sort of failure of the arresting gear for a landing aircraft. The crew ejected, but the aircraft went overboard.

I have a pair of similar looking Dearform slippers that I wear while inside. I have hardwood flooring, so these slippers help me avoid developing any pressure point callouses.
The "memory form" soles feel fantastic, plus they are super easy to put on / take off without having to bend over.
