strikes me as a non-starter given all the happy people i know who became addicts. some of whom still use and are still pretty content with their lot.

that's what the tensions between glug and adar could've led up into throughout the whole season. they're just cowardly
the Uruks betraying adar should have had more time to play out, to allow them to be subject to Sauron’s manipulations. speaking of, a failed attempt at peace negotiations between uruks and elves could have been and entire season’s subplot! what a fucking waste!
