If this is the level of ebook production in your publishing company, I think you're little better than a scammer.

For fuck's sake...

TBR pile temporarily one book smaller.

This one was about the history of book censorship in the UK and the US, presented via case studies. Very accessible to a lay reader without feeling dumbed-down.

I have thoughts. Whether I'll ever write them down is a different matter.

... this is not quite what I wanted.

Eli ei mennyt Otavalla Genjin tarinan painatus ihan niin kuin Strömsössä. #kirjataivas #genjintarina

They're here! Genji monogatari, for the first time in Finnish in its entirety.

I was so happy to get them. Only...

But sometimes the results are just plain hilarious. I assure you, "4,9 ulos 5" does not mean anything. And if it did, it wouldn't mean what it's meant to mean here.

Alright. I like Shelley Parker-Chan as a writer, but this bit in the acknowledgements of He Who Drowned the World? Did not land well.

I was going to share this photo as an example of a horribly unreadable font, only to realise that photographing made it much more readable. Wtf?

And then tested on my usual notebook paper, with the sort of fast-paced note-taking I do during work meetings.

The first four pens are in the same order as before, and the fifth one is the pen I've been using lately, the Pilot G-2 07 rollerball pen.

Some new acquisitions, including my first ever fountain pens! 😍

From top to bottom:

Platinum Preppy M 05 Fountain Pen
Uni Rollerball Jetstream Pen
Lamy Safari Rollerball Pen

... on top of a Rhodia Notebook.

I might have been overly harsh yesterday, in the dimmer evening light, than I would be today, but even today reading it makes my eyes hurt.

The issue: it's a small paperback, and the text is small and cramped. Probably an effort to make the book less thick.

Recently, Arrow changed the style of their Heyer covers. The cover my old paperback copy of Frederica had is on the left; the cover of my new ebook version on the right.

Which one would you prefer?

I'm not sure how this makes any kind of sense. o.O

The current top 3 of our presidential election: Alexander Stubb, Pekka Haavisto and Jussi Halla-aho. Stubb and Haavisto are fine, and they'll be the candidates during the second round.

What's awful (but not surprising) is Halla-aho's success. For those happily ignorant of who he is: he's a fascist.
