The landscape of #perimenopause #menopause is vast, fields of possibility, rivers of change, mountains of resilience. The challenge is simple: will you keep squabbling inside, or open the shade?

75 years ago today, the European Convention of Human Rights, ECHR, was created. The UK played a key role in shaping it.
We should celebrate the ECHR & the vision of all who brought it to life.
We must resist regressive & cynical moves to rip us out of the convention!

A life‑course perspective highlights inequity: not all individuals reach #perimenopause #menopause with equal health, wealth, or safety. Context matters as much as biology.

#perimenopause #menopause awareness without inclusion risks creating comfort for some and invisibility for others. True awareness transforms systems, not hashtags.

#perimenopause #menopause today feels less like healthcare and more like a compulsory gymnastics class.
Twist through misinformation. Balance on bad advice. Stick the landing blindfolded. With no mat. And no coach who looks like you.

On point as ever
We’re not here for the photo op. We’re here for real #perimenopause #menopause support and real Black history, every day.

Nails it 🎯 every time
We treat #perimenopause #menopause like a software bug. “Patch me! Fix me!” But maybe it’s not a bug, it’s a new operating system.

Bro science was born in the gym. Menopause now has its own version drum roll please…. it is called Meno Science Hormone hackathon: myths in yoga pants and #menopause #perimenopause scented tea bags. But exclusion makes it dangerous: as many can’t find themselves in the evidence at all.

The landscape of midlife is rich with rivers, mountains, fields of possibility. If you only compete for validation inside the bus, you’ll never see it. #perimenopause #menopause is the invitation to look out.

#perimenopause #menopause conversations are louder now. But who’s still not in the room?
True progress means looking around and asking:
Who’s missing?
Who’s unheard?
Who’s been carrying the weight silently for too long?

Delighted to say that my new book of words is out today, in which I explain how ‘sneeze’ was born from a mistake, that ‘window’ is a Viking leftover meaning ‘eye of the wind’, and that the Finns really do have a word for drinking alone in your underwear.

Today is #WorldSuicidePreventionDay, the theme, “Creating Hope Through Action”. I learned so much about myself on my recent walking adventure through Scotland. How I live with bouts of debilitating depression & powerful ideations to complete my suicide. Holding onto HOPE is key.

Angela Rayner accidentally pays less tax than she should have, resigns, and the media gives her hell.

Nigel Farage deliberately pays less tax than he should have, and the media gives him a free pass.

That, right there, is the problem.

History shows it clearly: austerity creates the conditions in which fascism thrives. When governments strip away public services, weaken safety nets and deepen inequality, people lose hope in democracy and turn to authoritarian “strongmen.”

That means you’re human, and #perimenopause #menopause isn’t linear.

Getting support right for drug users means getting it right for everyone. Because to reduce drug deaths, we MUST tackle the social causes that get people to the point of oblivion.

We need to secure wraparound support for users & communities - long before the risk of fatality.

Or a woman
If you've got a disability

If you need care
Or you're in the forces
And if you're in Northern Ireland

b) reduce energy costs?
c) improve the NHS?

f) none of the above?

In #perimenopause #menopause discussions, “hard-to-reach” often just means not white, not cisgender, not middle class.
That’s not a people problem.
It’s a system problem.
