Similarly, maybe acknowledge why those who should be looking out for student interests haven’t been (i.e. because the last government created a regulator more interested in right wing newspaper concerns than the actual concerns of students (amongst other things like the decline of the NUS))

For instance, there is a real discussion to be had about financial efficiency in HE institutions. UUK have acknowledged it in their blueprint for the sector. Maybe reference that in the article?
