It's interesting for many reasons, but prob reflects economic changes ie women working? In 1947 how many women worked FT compared to male partner? My wife and I work FT and share cleaning etc. We also share admin, house/car maintenance, kids, shopping etc. Varying ratios but = in long run I reckon.

Presumably these people are all being paid a decent salary by the Federal government. Sounds like a great place to make some quick budget savings to me.
