Cary, NC. At least twice as many people out compared to June, and lots more support from drivers! An upbeat atmosphere, 'cause we know we're going to win!

And of course this study was quickly cited by one J. Curry in her blog responding to the Dessler/Kopp review of the DOE report.

The unhidden coding seems to sum it up pretty well.

Never in a million years would I have expected to agree with Milloy. *Of course* this is simply about the destruction of federal climate science capabilities. But where Milloy relishes the destruction, I agree with @andrewdessler.com and hate it.

As best I can parse the language of Zeldin’s proposal to do away with any GHG regs for fossil-fired electricity generating units, he’s essentially saying that he's not going to regulate GHGs because he thinks fossil fuels are better than the environment, despite the name of the Agency he heads.

A bit of a howler here. The Federal Coordinating Council (FCCSET) was pulled into the National Science and Technology Council in 1993 and has been replaced by various NSTC committees. FCCSET hasn’t been a thing for decades. 8/13

Here’s what Project 2025 says about USGCRP and the NCA. There is nothing in the NCA that can “reduce the scope of legally proper options” and nothing that USGCRP does that can “frustrate successful litigation defense.” Well, nothing except fact-based assessments. 3/13

This - a 'journal article' with Grok-3 as lead author - is the kind of junk we can expect, along with cherry-picking the least damaging impact estimates. *If* we're lucky, and they don't go into full denial mode.

These yahoos don't even have enough knowledge or ambition to write this nonsense themselves. And yet they'll probably end up leading the next NCA.

America was a fine enough band, but let's be honest - The Grateful Dead are more deserving.

From Timothy Snyder's Substack yesterday: snyder.substack.com/p/the-logic-...
It's worth remembering the Russian invasion of Ukraine, how we all thought it was inevitable that Russia would gain a quick victory. Except the Ukrainians, who fought back. Nothing is inevitable.

The memo demonstrates both their sheer contempt for government and their utter ignorance about how it works. This is governance by influencers, implementing mindless hot takes as policy.

I figured He'd wait for at least the fourth or fifth rounds...😇

Thx for bringing this out again. We have yet to define climate change as anything other than an environmental issue, and (in my view) that has severely undermined out ability to make policy progress.
