Cyclist, pedestrian, infrequent driver. Enthusiastic yet terrible guitarist. Does unspeakable things to computers. Likes my metäl heävy.
Absolutely agree, both band gave top performances of classic songs. Seeing Udo again, 40 years on from first watching Accept on the same stage made my night. Took a few short vid's to bolster my aging memory!
I also can never call it the Apollo, it will always be the Hammersmith Odeon to me.

If a 1996 Trek ZX 8000 is on your wish list, better get over to the Reading Bike Kitchen as I've just donated mine. Sadly unused for the last few years as it was my commute bike for icy days but I work from home now.

That looks similar to the big shard went through my nearly new Schwalbe on my recent Ipsden ride. I didn't return it to the road, honest! Banana for scale. I rode yesterday on a booted tyre.

River Pang Cruise 55km Audax today. Got lucky with the weather giving us sunny and dry cycling with light winds.

A Halloween bike ride to the Reade Memorial, Ipsden.

Mrs Reade was in the habit of walking to the Wallingford Road to meet the post for news of her sons who were busy colonising India. One evening in 1827 she witnessed the spectre of her eldest son John and was convinced that he had died.

I picked up the bike and cycled home. Realised the next day that the forks and front wheel were very curious shapes. It was quite a big insurance claim to get it fixed.

That was a Goldilocks ride; perfect in every way. A curry at the finish was welcome to warm up afterwards.

November is a late start for my first audax of 2024 but pleurisy in the first half of this year sabotaged my earlier entries. The 50km River Pang Cruise is a civilised and scenic route through West Berks.

I don't like to let my other bikes think I have a favorite, but really it's this one.

Back from 2017 when I was exploring the Chiltern hills.

Stoke Row has that "Hold my beer“ kind of well.

Plenty of beautiful old village wells around the Chiltern's so I visited a few today.
