Great article. We need a government willing to stand up for the rights of citizens rather than corporations. That should be the most basic ask of any government, but I'm not sure we've had one in my lifetime (ie since Thatcher).

Seems odd to leave Cameron/ Osborne austerity off. That's definitely a root cause of many current problems.

GP lost some members when Corbyn became leader of Labour (2015/16), but that was a combination of a socialist leader and an established party that could realistically form the next government. A new Corbyn party will need to show realistic prospects of being bigger than TUSC, etc, to draw members.

The Green Party is already a socialist party, and a democratic one, not dependent on one charismatic figure...
