I'm not a perfect person, not by a long chalk, but if I gave a speech that gave rise to this political sketch... phew I don't think the shame would let me out of bed in a week, or more. This is the message Labour sent yesterday. Vote Green. #MakeHopeNormalAgain www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Hearing that lots of perfectly good school equipment is going to be thrown into a skip tomorrow morning?! Including brand new stationary!?!

Charlotte Sharman Primary School has been closed down, but there's no excuse for this. Find a home for it.

It's an honour to hold elected office for the last 4 years & to continue this with our 4 new MPs for the last 10 months.

I'm ambitious about taking on a failing Labour Party and sending many more Green MPs to Parliament.

Southwark has 5 MPs, a London assembly member, a council leader, and a London mayor.

Have we had a single public statement from any of them about the government possibly cutting billions in disability benefits?

Happy to be corrected if we have.

The super rich have more power than ever before.

The old political parties have utterly failed. They've made things worse.

We don't have time to mess around.

In 2019, the Mayor of London said he'd do a Rent Commission - he hasn't, so I did.

We'll be lectured at the next election about how Labour are the better of two (three?) evils and we just have to vote for them.

Ok. Let's clarify this:

Jewish people who call out genocide and stand up for Palestinians - expelled.

Labour minister who makes antisemitic, racist comments and jokes about pensioners death - suspended.

We all know he'll be back in a few months.

Southwark Green Party opposes the expansion of Heathrow Airport.

It will lead to more carbon emissions as well as poorer air quality for all Londoners.

There is little evidence that it will lead to growth.

We call on Southwark MPs and Southwark Council to oppose it.

With all respect to McDonnell, how many humiliations are the Labour left going to put up with?

The Labour Party is a dead end for progressive politics. All that time and effort spent fighting the Labour right.

It's time to move on...
