He thinks the oil rig is a wind farm and the windfall is a reduction in wind….

Thick as mince…

I wish it were true, but I don’t think we live in a world where all the right wing newspapers wouldn’t shout betrayal, with the BBC and Sky news using these papers as their talking points. Seeing the commmunication levels of the government currently there is no way they win that battle.

If they ran on an anti Brexit ticket do you think they would have won the election? I’m not sure they would have and I think that’s the issue. The main body of voters didn’t want to hear about Brexit (I think that’s why Johnson won it so easily on a platform of getting it done in 2019).

While I agree with some of your sentiments, I don’t think he has the political capital or the will to reverse ferret after 6 months in power. He might never have the capital, but the reason I voted for KS is at least he would acknowledge we need a better relationship with the EU.

Is 6 months a long game?

Yes, I agree. They were trying to just get the biggest names and hoping it would work. I don’t blame them for keeping ETH, but extending his contract without some sort of break clause for underperformance feels naive at best. Especially with the financial issues they have.

I can understand that, but how can you go through all they did with Newcastle and pin your hat on him to getting rid within 5 months. Surely they should have checked hymn sheets before they signed him.

I’ve not seen much of him but the bits I have he looks a special talent that just needs to mature. Historically he’s probably in a good place to do that. Do you think. That’s still the case?

Interesting. I didn’t think about the standard of Dortmund. I wondered if the current strength of England is their wingers so he’s quite far down the pecking order.

I was thinking about this at the weekend. He had a similar profile to Sancho when he went over, but from Uk there’s a lot less interest in what he’s doing compared to both JS and Bellingham. Why do u think that is?

This is v true. I imagine that his feed about UK politics is just bullshit scaremongering Reform culture wars that if any of it was close to being true would make you quite intrigued..

Interesting that it was like the election here. Overall a slim margin but a landslide in seats. The disconnect be right wing commentators is that Starmer is in a weak position but Trump should be able to behave like God.

After 2 years there’s the mid term elections. So, if the country is a mess, the GOP probably loses the senate and it would make his life a lot harder to get anything done.

Not sure about A. But off the top of my head b) Gerard to play holding midfielder and RB. Beckham to play “quarterback” role or rb. C) see Theo Walcott.
