Just things.

The standard of debate on Facebook.

(Obviously the right-wing one comes with literacy levels so poor that you can almost hear someone breathing through their mouth as you read it.)

Facebook comment of the day - took me more* seconds to realise what he meant, than he used** brain cells to write it.

* About 5 seconds.
** Absolute number, not percentage.

Facebook comment of the day, in response to an announcement of a Christmas market in Sheffield.

Obviously, she's wrong (Sheffield is having Christmas lights as always) and her timeline is the expected sewer of racist gran content.

Didn't think it was possible but is she actually less self-aware than Liz Truss?

Cameron won against the left, then he won against the centrists. Johnson and Brexit won against the moderate right. Truss won against any remaining sanity, leaving a Tory party not far short of what we dismissed as fringe racism just a decade ago.

Halfwit voters - I think Farage will fix this.

I mean, everybody else sees it, right?

Leftie does a bad thing.

The press: Everyone left of Hitler is a bad, bad person and these people all need to be defeated.

Sorry, turns out he was right wing.

The press: Erm, mental health problems probably.

Horrendous anyone dying because of their words.

Even if they talked a lot of really stupid shit.

The descent of social media in 5 posts (a short thread).

Post 1: someone expresses a personal opinion.

Spotted on Facebook, on a post about Labour not creating the asylum hotel mess.

Unevidenced barking of dog whistles they've heard, barely literate and WTF is that last one!

How are these people allowed to vote, because you know they're veering us towards a world where Farage has significant power.

She must have the worst headaches ever from the cognitive dissonance.

"I'll try to appeal to the people those lefties call racist. I'm sure they're not really properly racist."

Meanwhile, the racists...

Saw this on Facebook and I'm already done with the human race for the week.

Not sure what technically counts as a Scouser, but to most people I assume his massive accent would sound pretty similar?

I'd like to win this weekend's lottery.

Over 2000 comments on the Pride post - many by people who are definitely not homophobic bigots, but just don't think the fire service should be doing anything other than putting out fires.

Meanwhile, after being up for 7 hours, over on the Armed Forces post, those people don't seem as angry?

If Reform are left wing then I think this is where the Overton window currently is!

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, Keir Starmer twerking for Reform knuckle draggers, who are never going to vote for him while populist grifters are giving them much simpler empty promises.

It seems all our political class are power hungry, horrible fucking morons now.

She's right, the sad part is that it can only be fixed when people realise that lurching to the right to vote Tory is not the answer, and that Nigel Farage definitely fucking isn't.
