Autistic adult with alexithymia. Ex-Autistica (Molehill Mountain). Busy rewatching Sense8. He/him.

I may add you to a list rather than following. Liking a post doesn't endorse person.
The first is aphantasia (seeing things in mind's eye). Not sure what the name is for the second.

Not sure if this is what you are talking about, but aphantasia is more common in autistic people

Agree. The inconsistency is the worst part. Assessment is stressful enough without this additional hassle.

They just want to know that what you are experiencing is lifelong (autism), not something different that has only appeared as an adult.

Perhaps they will also accept some answers from your partner (or other person) and some from your mother (with some blank because your mother wouldn't answer).

If they won't accept your partner and you don't want parent, another option is a sibling or other relative (cousin, etc) or a childhood friend (often used if parents are unavailable). They just want someone who has known you for a while (ideally from childhood). Seems better than you translating.

For instance, if you can't tell a story, or tell one unrelated, or miss out obvious points, or just notice details, or use a limited range of words or don't know "pigs fly" - it all tells them something about how autism affects you. Hope this helps. Good luck with ADIR - it is more straightforward.

The book is Tuesday by David Wiesner. There are YouTube videos of people reading or showing it. Mention the book in passing, but the ADIR is separate. I've had the ADOS too. I think that with tests like this, the problems help them to identify the types of autism or rule other things out.

I hadn't used this site before, but seems to work fine with Brave. YMMV

Any other OSINT accounts that you particularly trust/recommend?
October 23, 2025 at 5:13 PM
Yes. Would recommend. As an autistic person, the portrayal of autism is a bit heightened, but having watched other kdramas, that may just be a feature of the genre.

Each episode explores different issues. Episode 3, dealing with employment and prejudice, was particularly strong.

It's fine to ask. Either really. I'm autistic and was just looking for interesting autistic voices (particularly smaller accounts). Ones that had gone under the radar. Either writing about autism or having an autistic perspective in their other work. Hope that helps.

Followed some names from that starter pack at the time but probably need to revisit it and follow some more. Thanks for reposting it. I needed the reminder.

Thanks. I agree. Already follow them.

All added. Thanks.
