I've had a couple of emails back from M.P. Peter Kyle regarding the Online Safety Act and I can say without hesitation that the man is an idiot.

Companies trying to build a business solely on the fact they can create or display gaussian splats is a bit like trying to build a business on the fact you can display jpgs.

Horror story idea. You start a new job. As you go for lunch you open the wrong door and it's all fuzzy gaussian splats.

It's just occurred to me that LLMs have taught us something we already knew - "pretending to be intelligent can get you a long way"

The magic of applying a 3D filter to our vision on Quest is now possible thanks to camera access! I managed to make every eye see just the stream of its camera, and applying a shader filter, I modified my vision while retaining the depth!
