Just falling apart
Im pretty sure fb/meta has the same algorithm setup that twitter has, shows you the opposite of what you believe, on top of not being able to see or share news and no more official fact checking fb is just as bad as twitter

Also we can't read or share news there, and as of January 2025 fact checking is no longer something that happens on meta

Im considering deactivating my facebook and instagram down the road considering meta has been at the forefront of csam and human sex trafficking distribution for years, and they recently made messenger end to end encrypted which reduced reporting

In 2024 Facebook made messenger have end to end encryption, so that probably accounts for the lower numbers in 2024 and 2025 as it curtailed reporting

It feels like people forgot that shortly after the inauguration meta removed fact checking across their platforms as well as removing a bunch of stuff

As a Canadian I can't forget this because every time I use Facebook it lets me know I cant share or read the news

I deactivated my account on nye and at some point I'll probably do the same for meta apps as well (they've also been a large contributor for csam distribution and human sex trafficking and their AI is being used for it as well)

Every major social medai platform is in bed with far right governments

Hell almost every dating app is owned by CEOs involved with palentir

Meta apps have had a csam and human sex trafficking issue for years that they have avoided completely stopping and have enabled it and yet I don't see people deleting their facebook/instagram accounts 2/2

Its for politicians to ragebait, very rarely is any constructive conversations happening, but Tim can fire off a comment about something on remembrance day and get everyone wired on that

Also I noticed on that map that chebucto lane doesn't have any timeline on it, does the city not include a mixed use (its a one way that is used by everyone) as a responsibility of theirs?
January 13, 2026 at 11:06 AM
Which is why I share this every year as a reminder

One year I had Waye on twitter tell me that if someone sues the city they'll just put it on the taxpayer lol like maybe Waye was the first ragebaiter

Main sidewalks like windsor and north (to a point) have salt down in places, the chebucto area had none when I left

Streets are also icy but they will receive attention a lot quicker
