A whopping 5,000CHF fine ($6,200) and yellow card for DS Oliver Cookson (Ineos Grenadiers) for 'incorrect behaviour that endangers spectators'.

That's surely referring to the incident of the fan hit by the team car on the Col du Peyresourde, though it is not specified.

I drove up stage 11's last climb, the Côte de Saint-Pech, yesterday. The first 250 metres are a brutal wall of so-so tarmac after a tight left turn (slowing down the bunch) and it drags on after that.

Perfect springboard for an attacker - or punchy Pogačar.
