I assumed was a fake Irish accent, i.e. somebody not from Ireland attempting a stereotypical “Irish” accent. It turned out to be real. In either case I would have geographically placed them on the wrong continent, never mind province, but that there was a dialectal distinction was nevertheless clear

Is there any indication it was scraped from academia itself? I’m a big proponent of open publishing, but it occurs to me that any paper of mine, or anybody else’s, that was published openly could be easily scraped and if it’s linked in academia they might still send a notification like this.
