I feel really lucky to be part of a fabulous Discord group that encourages me to use my spinning wheel more regularly.

This will be a 3-ply fractal yarn that I’m hoping to use in the colorwork of a sweater pattern I’m working on!

Getting a lot of mileage out of this photos for the gift week of #showmeyourknits! Every year, I try and knit my husband a pair of socks. The pink and chartreuse color combo was 100% his choice and the pattern is a design of my own (for sale on Ravelry).

Another version of the Downstream pattern, this time in lime green and a variegated teal/green. The socks show off the opposite color options. One has lime as the MC and the other has lime as the CC.

The heel and toe of the sock feature a checkered, reinforced stitch which continues to add interest from cuff to toe!

Throwback to the first pattern I published. The Chaco Shawl was a huge learning curve and I’m so grateful to it for all of the lessons.

And it’s pretty!

Going through old photos, I came across this shawl that doesn’t get enough time in my regular wardrobe. This is “Water” by Sylvia McFadden. It was my first time playing with short rows in a shawl and I loved it!

Today was a day for dreaming. I started cleaning and processing this mountain goat wool, my husband loves to hike in the alpine areas and will bring back a little every time he finds some. It’s full of kemp and VM, but once cleaned up will be so soft and warm.

This pattern is my second published shawl, the Long Cuddle Shawl. It uses a slip stitch pattern that creates and extra dense and squishy fabric which, it turns out, is also extra warm. Absolutely perfect for cuddling into on cold days.

One more bobbin to go. The top one was spun end to end and has slow, gradual color changes. The bottom one I split into a ton of tiny nests (see last night’s photo) and is my chaos bobbin.

The last section of fiber will be divided into three to provide a happy middle ground.
