The recent Charlotte election results showed that the fear/crime message didn’t work even in a traditional R city council district.
Still, it’s good for more people to know that the fear/crime thing is a political tool for the next year, at least.

I know about the weapons sales guy, the ex-preacher who hired a ballot harvester, and the Helene-area likely sitting duck, but assumed this one was new. Maybe not.

These are 2024 John Locke numbers for #NC14.
Taken with a grain of salt, then, an “R” female outsider against an R incumbent can do some damage in 2026.

Dan Bishop’s territory would cover Orange County, home of UNC Chapel Hill.

Doesn’t cover Charlotte or military bases, I think.

Bad resolution map but you get the picture.

Charlotte: Mecklenburg NC SNAP numbers and official response plans:

about 138,500 SNAP participants in the county.

The federal issuance for SNAP benefits totals about $2-million per month, or about $175 per participant.

Right!
I will say that ET’s push isn’t sudden. Maybe they found a spot that actually still has hungry newspaper carriers, for one.
The rest of the US push now could be about getting new funding? prepping for 2026 elections? low political poll scores for some people? dunno

“Will it swaddle?”
Yes, yes it will.

Gerry's quote sounded like "bless his heart" or "I'm a lawyer and know how to survive under both sides."
That's judging by his quote recorded by Brandon Kingdollar in NCNewsline.
(Gerry's a former classmate of mine so I give him lots of respect and leeway.)

There are other heartbreaking stories out of NC of people seeking other safety solutions.

There will be plenty of political fodder for later on other platforms. Clearly.

Dog tax.
If you take the time to listen to some of NC’s congress folk trying to portray Charlotte as a hell hole, you should at least get a mini schnauzer pic.

It’s besides the main point, but AI-assisted sleuths, likely in other time zones, might put US cop reporters and slow-to-adapt internet sleuths out of business, very soon.

I guess we all need to learn how to cook it, or rent some goats.
It’s on the move.
I looked for more blooms in these known spots, didn’t see any.
