I was idly scrolling Reddit and the algorithm shoved this into my face, and I both sort of want to understand it,but also get angered by it.

I mean, lots of us were... drastically wrong about the trajectory of society in the Obama years, but I keep thinking of how absolutely wrong this one turned out to be in terms of what ubiquitous smart phones would do to belief in the paranormal.
