Just a happily married early retiree, mother of 4, grandmother of 2, trying to live her best life.

On a journey of unlearning all the nonsense I accepted as truth for too long.

PLEASE NO DMS. They tend to lead to blocks from me. ✌🏼
Not that I want to give senator Tillis a huge pat on the back since he has done everything to make what’s happening possible, but I guess we’ll take whatever tidbits of integrity the GQP offers at this point 🤷🏻‍♀️🤬
Finally, 1 Republican Senator, speaking out against trump's lies on who Putin really is!
Please retweet!

Need a whole lot more clergy being so brave
Wow. Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde fearlessly calls out Trump and Vance to their faces. This is heroic.

I usually try to be an informed citizen, even when it fills me with rage.

Not today. Will not watch one minute of this abomination.
The best thing average people can do today

Is lift up one of the greatest of us

While deliberately ignoring the worst of us

Let them screech in the shadows
While the rest of us sing in the light

Rest in Power, Dr. King.

But the uninformed who voted for him because of grocery prices will apparently believe what they hear from him.
Republicans have launched a propaganda campaign to pretend that Trump was "exonerated" and that the FBI are the bad guys.

It's a lie. His record is 34 convictions in one case, 4 guilty pleas from co-defendants in another, two unfinished prosecutions, and zero acquittals. lnk.thebulwark.com/41vcqGn
Don’t Let Trump Fool You, He Was Never Exonerated
His re-election doesn’t change the damning evidence of his crimes.

I’d like to give him grace to believe HE believes he doing the right thing.

The courageous thing would be to NOT create a vacancy, but rather allow the fascist to fire you and deal with it.

My faith in the guard rails continues to dwindle.
Breaking news: FBI Director Christopher Wray announced he would resign from his position at the end of the Biden administration, stepping down as the leader of the law enforcement bureau before incoming president Donald Trump takes office and can fire him.
FBI Director Christopher Wray says he will resign before Trump takes office
President-elect Donald Trump has said he will nominate Kash Patel as FBI director, sending a message to Christopher A. Wray that he should resign or prepare to be fired.

Trump has chosen Harmeet Dhillon, an election denier, to be assistant attorney general of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division — a division that’s supposed to enforce voting rights laws

If you're more upset with Biden being forced to consider the extraordinary step of peremptorily pardoning his own officials then you are about Trump appointing someone who’s promised to use the federal govt to exact personal retribution for Trump, then you need to think a little more critically.

Today, #KashPatel sent a letter to my counsel @markzaidesq.bsky.social threatening to sue & demanding I retract my MSNBC comments on his unfitness to serve as FBI Director. This follows his threats against media & political opponents, showing how he might act if confirmed. I stand by my statements.

Sad, but necessary. Family. Former friends. Had to find a new church. Clear boundaries being set.
This is no longer about a policy difference, not a simple disagreement on the humane and responsible way to deal with collective national challenges, it isn’t a matter of agreeing to disagree on less-than-critical subjects where a stalemate is acceptable.

Shocked, not shocked, by the continued hypocrisy
🚨NEW on CNN: Audio and video we uncovered show Vivek Ramaswamy spent years attacking his DOGE partner Elon Musk as a puppet of China. Calling him “in China’s pocket,” “bending the knee to Xi Jinping,” and jumping “like a circus monkey” to get favors for business in China. www.cnn.com/2024/12/03/p...

It shouldn’t be ignored that Kash Patel chose to plead the Fifth in response to a grand jury subpoena over the Mar-a-Lago classified documents.

He only testified, involuntarily, after being granted immunity.

Think about that. Trump’s FBI nominee pled the Fifth in response to a DOJ subpoena.

Call me crazy, but I think Justin Sun, a Chinese national being prosecuted for fraud by the SEC, sending Trump $18 million should be a bigger story

The direct enrichment of Trump by a foreign national weeks before he takes office has merited no coverage in the NYT or Washington Post
A Chinese national, charged with fraud by the SEC, just sent Donald Trump $18 million
Chinese Crypto entrepreneur Justin Sun paid $6.2 million for a banana — sold by Sotheby's as conceptual art — and then ate it last Friday.
