Worshipping cats since 1978.
Lived and worked in Europe & Asia and could still be if I wanted to, so I'm here by choice.
Retired. Spending my time going to the opera and exhibits of Impressionist painters. Manet is the man. And of course, there's Hopper.
For example

The older he gets, the more Vlad Putin resembles Uncle Fester from The Adams Family TV show.

Appropriate, huh?

"Soldiers, brave lads, where is your honor gone?"
Serov painted this attack by cavalry on peaceful protesters in 1905 Moscow.

Looks like it would apply perfectly to 2025 USA.

Hmm, saw this truck in Stonestown Galleria Shopping Mall. If I posted it on Xitter would it get me banned?

This painting by Valentin Serov in 1905 is becoming relevant to us 120 years later.
Its title is "Soldiers, Brave Lads, Where Is Your Glory Gone?"
He witnessed "Bloody Sunday" January 9 1905 when cavalry attacked and massacred peaceful protesters. He painted and titled it in response.

Et tu, Trump?
