Community College math professor, Woso and volleyball stan, board and computer gamer, all-around great guy.
There were some awfully bad kicks in that penalty shootout but Hannah Hampton also came up with one good save and one amazing one. Absolutely the only reason England is still standing in these Euros.

Any US manufacturing created due to tariffs will be (1) too late for 1000s of small companies in danger of going out of business, thereby crashing the economy, and (2) heavily roboticized, therefore creating wealth but not jobs.

Common denominator - terrible for middle class, good for the wealthy.

Walked in as my colleague who uses the room before I do was finishing up - she had Calculus 2 all over the whiteboard. Looking at it, I was like "does the federal government know you're teaching this? You shouldn't be teaching integration anymore."

I threatened my Democratic senators that if we help Republicans pass this disaster bill, and if they subsequently aren't part of a process to IMMEDIATELY change leadership in the Senate, that I would never vote for them again. And I plan to follow through.

Democratic senators need to not be afraid of the moment. The nation WANTS you to fight for Social Security and Medicaid and the VA. Including Republican voters.

If there's a shutdown and they blame you? Accept the blame! And go on TV and articulate clearly what you're fighting for.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

NEW: A searing editorial in the The Kyiv Independent.

“It’s time to say it plainly. America’s leadership has switched sides in the war. The American people have not, and they should speak up.

“A president just disrespected America in the Oval Office. It wasn’t Zelensky.”

My biggest problem with the CDC is that it sometimes filtered information a bit too aggressively to push its agenda, in particular with vaccines. Trump/Kennedy replacing that with "always censoring information to push an agenda" is not an improvement.

The biggest thing that the Muskification of Twitter did is it made it impossible to have a conversation over there. The comment sections are basically a no fly zone if you want to keep your sanity.

Congressman who worked at USAID: “USAID helps strengthen our reputation… these actions by Trump/Musk show 🇺🇸 as a nation trampling on the rule of law…”

Again: USAID was active in helping undo South African apartheid. Musk’s crusade against it is likely not a coincidence.

Releasing dangerous criminals, systematically dismantling the government and starting a trade war with our allies seems like the kind of thing a Russian asset would do if he were elected president.

Not really ok with people flexing by being an asshole about a CEO being murdered. If you want to believe that the majority of people are with you then you should stop doing things that piss off the majority of people.

You'd think after I bought seven bouquet's from Pierre that he'd warn his daughter about me.

There's a high level of regret after you save up 2,000,000 g to buy your Island Obelisk and when you go to buy it you notice that it only cost 1,000,000.

I wonder if Alyssa Naeher timed her retirement announcement so as to avoid a ceremony in the US honoring her. That would be very on-brand for her.
