You’re right of course, still, it feels a bit wrong not to give even a line to The Salon Clamart, and the Nardal’s spec. bc their efforts are only recently being recognized in the same way those of Cesaire, Senghor & others. Still a fantastic show and was happy to attend on Friday.

Fantastic show, incredible survey & learned abt many artists work that was new to me, but was also disappointed that there was (unless I missed it which would be easy to do) no mention of the substantial contributions of the Nardal Sisters to the Black arts and lit scene of the early 20th c. Paris

We’ve been to Villa for 2Ws incl a 2nd city derby v BCFC but most recently in May 2024 (3-1 v AFCB) pic tho is fr a US tour in 2023 vs NUFC at Philly Eagles (3-3)

Windsor is the Canadian city across the river from Detroit. It’s so close that the house where I grew up was closer to Tiger Stadium than some parts of Detroit. Could see the lights come on from our 2nd floor window, on a still day could hear a cheer from the riverside park. (Also love ⚽️ tho too)

More inspired by my time living for 20yrs in Windsor and being a lifelong Tigers fan, but yeah that’s part of it too :) #eatemup

I mostly agree. The point however is that we shouldn’t have roads that celebrate enslavers, colonizers, genocidaires, white supremacists either. Yet when that gets brought up ppl love to find an excuse to do nothing, and you gotta ask why that is (SPOILER: the answer is always racism)
