Its worse than that. It’s no accident half of these are retiring and the others aren’t up for a while. Not saying these 8 don’t deserve scorn, but they are patsies for Schumer and others. I wanna know who whispered in whose ears to make this happen. It was at least Schumer.

This isn’t even neoliberalism, or down to ideology. They fundamentally cannot understand the fight never stops. I need socdem/demsocs/libertarian socialists. to uphold the pillars of liberal democracy. This is iliberalism, a fundamental failure to defend people’s right to life, liberty and property.

I agree Cassidy's air of wishful ignorance is an intentional act. He knows the evidence and still he betrays his oath. He knows how the social determinants of health line up with Louisiana gerrymandering, and he's pandering to the groups that will be least affected by infectious disease.

People remember Reagan's Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop for those LifeAlert commercials. Not many remember how he honored his oath and gave his evidenced based recommendations for the AIDS crisis. He said we needed to stop treating HIV like a moral failing, despite pressure from the Reagan admin.

He's the communist party apparatchik guy from Chernobyl who keeps insisting the core hasn't melted down. It can't melt down because we named the plant Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.
We just wanted someone who doesn't take bribes or sexually assaults women, or gets old people killed.

I don't disagree that "price fixing" is very much a negative practice in American housing and a lot of different factions contribute to it. I'm saying the economy can be excellent and not work for housing. That housing is especially at risk of negative wealth inequality effects far more than GDP.

The left also needs to demonstrate the ability to effectively govern and I think we're going to see plenty of that from Mayor Mamdani. There are many leftists though I see as whole heartedly incompetent of effective governance, like isn't that whole DSA needing to lay off people still a thing?

The in-group out-group phenomena really is off putting to non-leftists. I absolutely think people can come back from bad things, they can make mistakes, I just don't think they can come back a day after they decided to the erase/remove the nazi tattoo.

Like honestly, think about it, your landlord doubled your rent cause he or she thinks they can get double for it. They're not gonna think they can get double for it if the economy is bad. The problem isn't the totaled economic output of the nation, it's the difference in those earning and owning.

Housing affordability is inversely correlated with wealth inequality, not a bad economy. You can have wealth inequality in economically successful places and unsuccessful places alike. Detroit has a bad economy, but it has some of the lowest homelessness rates in America.
