We went to the Art Institute and saw a lot of awesome paintings like Night Hawks, American Gothic, At the Moulin Rouge, and A Sunday on La Grande Jatte

I did not have a chance to go on the Capital Limited before they merged it into the Floridian, but this was definitely a good trip! Hoping to get out there on the Cardinal one day also

It was in the single digits most of the time with a bit of snow, but the right layers (plus a handshake break every now and then) help! We went to Rossi’s, Lone Wolf, and Nick’s Beer Garden 🍻

We were able to get reservations at After for cocktails and appetizers including a delightful crudo and lamb ribs. My favorite drink was the yellow bell pepper daiquiri

I think we checked off most of the Chicago staples including steaks at Bavette’s, Italian beef and Chicago dogs at Johnny’s, and deep dish from Lou Malnati’s
