I get that, what I meant is that as I understand it you paid taxes in eg a European country your American tax liability would be zero even as a citizen. Not my area. But we’re all so intertwined in the US economy no matter where we are.

Its not so bad. If you pay taxes abroad you can credit your US liability against that usually.

True. Its not ideal but would be easier to form a bloc of e.g. 3 without them although maybe their voters would just splinter more.
