Thanks for posting this, I had no idea there was a movie made from Hard To Be A God, or that it was good!

I agree with you, but the problem wasn't Mayor Adams but the city council.

Good reaction time for sure, but the driving skill isn't so great, since he seems to be going way too fast for that kind of road, forcing him to take drastic evasive maneuvers.

Anecdotally, this seems true - I'm increasingly the only one I know in person that uses emacs. Well, I guess they can't all be as cool as us.

I think if done stupidly, yes. But it seems like most people believe that there are a lot of mentally ill people, and just letting them wreak havoc isn't a great idea (here's today article about that: abc7ny.com/post/man-rep...). So there's a version of this that is a good idea.
Exclusive video shows vandal causing thousands of dollars of damage to Central Park's SummerStage
Nikolas Evans, who describes himself as homeless and mentally ill, has wreaked havoc on the organization that offers free, live music in the park every summer, causing an estimated $15,000 of damage.

This is super interesting - I didn't know this, but it reminds me of Orson Welles' The Trial, which starts with basically this. It's just a skilled narrator talking over projected hand-drawn slides, but it's really effective!

Do you even need to use an editor though? Aider is good for this and it’s just on the command line. I think you can use Claude Code like that as well.

Vibe coding is the death of the editor (for some tasks).

Gefilte Fish is due for an artisanal resurgence. It had to be good at some point!

It's interesting and mostly great, but the same narrow streets are why parking on the sidewalk is pretty common (and very annoying).

I agree that robots of radically different form factor would be more interesting and better. I'm no expert, but I'd guess that making robots humanoid is probably because our environments are built for that exact form factor.
