Early refugee from the Bad Place. IT security, forensics and investigations guy with far too many history books. All opinions personal and do not reflect etc. etc.
There is one. It’s a detachment under the Imperial Agents Codex.

So, apparently Jeff Bezos thinks it’s perfectly OK for Elon Musk to take a trillion dollars out of a firm that simply can’t afford it…

You just have to wonder just how spiritually bankrupt you have to be to voluntarily write this shit. I mean, do these guys have any self-respect left at all?

A couple of the locals who joined us at the start of a hike up Benbulbin, Co. Sligo, Ireland.

This little graphic brought me up short…

This is a financial catastrophe waiting to happen and, unlike 2008-2009, there is nobody competent in charge who might be able to mitigate its effects. In fact, the current Administration is much more likely to make it worse.

First item in the replies.

Apparently, because Mamdani is muslim he’s automatically a Jew hater. No attempt to correct the poster, just wants to surf on the bigotry.

Now, about my other points…

It would help if we actually knew who funded them, and for what purpose.
You claim that they’re researching and proposing ideas, but at whose behest?
Not great chucking paint in their offices but God knows, their “ideas” have done a damn sight more damage than can be solved by an interior decorator.

Here’s a photo of it on fire from end to end, taken from one of the RN cruisers that finally sank it with torpedoes.

I think this is also a perfectly acceptable photo of Bismarck.

ITV say £7 million.

And if you think that’s £7 million damage, there’s a London Bridge I’d like to sell you.

Still, red paint on a transport aircraft… I’m sure you’re terrified.

“Terrorism” is increasingly just a term used justify government shithousery.

Strait of Hormuz as of now. Lots of tankers anchored off Fujairah and Khor Fakkan or mid-channel.
Nobody wants to be stuck in the Persian Gulf if Iran closes the Strait.

If I recall, the last time they did it they put the blockade in off Qeshm Island.

My vote is for Ares, who appears as a thoroughgoing dick in many tales.

Although Ares isn't as much of an oaf as Thor in Norse mythology, who comes across as a super-powered scandinavian version of Jeremy Clarkson.

I'll leave the last word on divine oafishness to Prof. Pratchett.

The source appears to be the Best States ranking in US News.

To put it in context, Massachusetts is ranked #37 in Higher Education.

Now, I believe Harvard and MIT sometimes think a little too much of themselves, but FFS.

It appears Rubio is in desperate need of a map…
(Also a spine, principles and an iota of moral courage.)
I remember when the US Secretaries of State knew basic geography.

Honestly, after 35 years and God knows how many hundreds of billions of Euros, who gives a fuck.
Half the population of that district is over 50. There are twice as many retirees as kids. There are about a dozen non-Germans.
A shower of elderly, backward, bigoted, ignorant shitkickers.
Fuck them.

Sweet God Almighty.
I’m a classic wishy washy liberal. A lifelong Social Democrat. Profoundly woke. Even I think this is rubbish
Let’s just make sure that engineers have a decent level of Calculus, maybe a thorough grasp of thermodynamics and physical chemistry, the ability to identify a lathe even?

Another factor - Ireland is a major foreign investor in the US. Over 250,000 Americans work in Irish companies.
Also Ireland is a major foreign investor in the US. Irelands direct investment is over 50% of the UKs or Germany’s despite being much smaller than either.

As an example of just how much crap is being pushed about AI at the moment, here’s an add that was just dumped into my LinkedIn feed.

Yes, use AI in something as important as legal review, and ignore what AI just did to the picture of Justice in our own advertisement.

You couldn’t make it up…

In other words, adjacent to the Jasmund National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Putin and his cronies would see the World burn as long as they still could keep their power and ill-gotten wealth.

Jasmund is the dark green area in the east of the island.

Sorry, but we’re sick and tired of this mendacious, self-serving, toxic crap from deniers like yourself.

Journalists=Terrorists
Paramedics=Terrorists
Children=Terrorists

You just hate them and want to see them dead - all of them - and at this stage it’s not like it’s not bloody obvious.

GFY.

This was the state of affairs in 1941.

Big deal - you’d asset stripped Ireland for two centuries. Stood by while 50% of its population starved or fled. Fought a vicious war of independence. Spilt the country in two, and spent 6 years trying to destroy the Irish Economy.

And we still helped.
