Though, on reflection, said high inclination might just be the result of the gravity dance between Alpha Centauri A, B, and Ab. Ah well.

The high inclination (relative to the binary) combined with the high eccentricity suggests to me this might be an interstellar capture. Not going to bet money on it, though.

Perhaps the NeoG novels by @kbwagers.com? The stories are set in the aftermath of a Collapse and show a resurgent humanity expanding out among the worlds of Sol and Trappist. Not a generational epic but definitely solarpunk.

I haven't had the chance to read that novel yet; but I have read some of his short fiction in Asimov's Science Fiction over the past few years. He's good!
