Yeah, absolutely. I've always said that Brexit was just the start, the longer term goal was always to go after the ECHR the BBC etc. and other elements of liberal society. And of course it's been turbo charged by Trump's success.

From Manveen Rana - the BBC investigative reporter on the program
"Funnily enough Andy [Wigmore], the only time I ever experienced political interference in one of my investigations at the BBC, was when I was investigating you and Arron Banks

Your mate Robbie Gibb put a stop to a story we were running."

Hunting for bias will ultimately be hunting the snark. We are all biased in some way or another. The news team need to insist on detail and rigour, not matching one empty but biased commentator with another equally empty and biased commentator from the other side.

Completely beyond why people try to defend Labour record on treatment of asylum seekers. They are awful.
They have done terrible things the Tories never even thought of, like denying any refugee who came here through irregular means from EVER becoming a citizen & ENDING FAMILY REUNIFICATION. demons.

It's strange how there have been so many changes in Starmer's office (except for one person who seems untouchable), and yet Labour's fortunes, and the leadership's general performance, have continued to be dire. I can't put my finger on what the problem could be.

This may not be bigotry or cowardice on the author's part, I've noticed this before with BBC articles about trans women, I suspect it is typically spineless BBC policy.

It's also predicated on their current approach actually appealing to people who would otherwise vote for Reform, which is not obviously true.

I just happened to disagree with those arguments, I certainly spent way more time on this than I intended, that's just how it goes sometimes 🤷
I'm certainly not saying any more on the subject.

Maybe, I mean I don't want it to seem like I think it's a massive deal, I just thought it odd, and there's always a suspicion with this govt that they're afraid of giving straight answers for fear of upsetting certain constituencies.
