I don't really understand what difference it is supposed to make since you could come up against a milk tanker or tractor/trailer or something like that.

I guess that works for the really big cities, but for the smaller towns I go to (Uckfield, Haywards Heath, Lewes for example), that's not really a thing. I park at HH and take the train into Brighton unless there's no other option, but sometimes I've had to go to the hospital there in the car.

They are, but since two cars can't pass each other on the narrow ones it makes little difference. I have a seven seater because we have a family of 6, I can't afford to run a separate, smaller vehicle if I just need to go to Tescos.

I've not seen this? I think they forget that people in rural areas need to go into towns and cities to get stuff done sometimes.

Oh right, down here in the South East people are practically having fights in the street over literally anything available. We had to bid over the rent price to secure our current place after getting rejected multiple times.
