In most Sadiq Khan posts, try replacing "London" with "Scotland" and you'll better understand.

Ultra-processed food is linked to harm in every major human organ, a new study finds - and the UK consumes more than any other European country.

Five times more than Portugal!

Labour's manifesto promised a clampdown on ultra-processed food and takeaways.

So much for Starmer's promised reset in relations. He's refused to meet our First Minister to discuss the upcoming budget, and Scotland's priorities.

Voters in Scotland decide our Government... but voters in England decide its budget.

Come on Labour. Seriously?

I find myself in agreement.

Check out no.6 on Starmer's pledges when he became Leader of the Labour Party.

What this article doesn't point out - because it's not news - is the fact that our Scottish Government is at no point consulted or informed about British budget planning. It finds out when we do. And then has little time to re-plan its own budget to fit.

Here's how it works...

Ignore the odd noisy complainer - the NC500 route is an accessible way to see vast areas of Scotland that are truly beautiful but little visited. My favourite part is the northern coastline with some stunning cliffs caves and beaches.

Labour will revisit WASPI women but don't expect to change anything.

'Many Scottish Labour MPs were unhappy about the issue coming back around. "It puts Waspi back in people's heads again. The only people who had been talking about it were a few nationalist trolls online."''

Except it still says "we don't know the candidates" for the Scottish Parliament elections, when they've already been announced for the Constituencies. Will also be interesting to see how it interprets the Regional vote, where you don't vote for candidates.

How Scotland's Parliament was set up by Westminster. Vote twice: once for a Candidate; once for a Party. Clear - right?

But I'll post anyway?

It's the big move weekend at the High School. Spotted this poster on the wall in the old school. Wonder how many politicians skipped this class at their school...

BBC director general Tim Davie and News CEO Deborah Turness have resigned following revelations of BBC bias.

There should be others, not least in the BBC in Scotland. The BBC is a disgrace.

Great display to a packed park from our local Round Table this evening. Who knew that after the original Gunpowder Plot, Guy Fawkes came to be toasted as "the last man to enter Parliament with honest intentions".

Labour certainly dreaming up imaginative ways to increase tax. Pay-per- mile for EVs. Not sure which voters they think this will appeal to.

This seems to be a typical reaction from folk in the USA to Mamdani's win.

If even Americans can see the value of progressive politicians - and the cost of right-wingers - there's hope yet.

In the UK, follow a progressive party. Better still, support them by joining.

As one of 19 countries that are both an EU and NATO member, an 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 would not need to host nuclear weapons to be able to participate in the planning for the use of nuclear weapons by NATO as part of its Nuclear Sharing agreement.

Someone bought me some Believe in Scotland-branded whisky. It was truly disgusting. A couple of years ignoring it and its now tasting ok. Has my palette changed, or has BiS matured? Hopefully the latter.

The Professor of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh has confirmed the number of people on a waiting list in Scotland is one in nine. Public Health Scotland gives the same figure. BBC Scotland continues to allow Labour to its own made-up "one in six" figure without challenge.
