ICE New Orleans arrested 25 undocumented Honduran workers for Barrois Welding Services, at a shipyard in Harvey, Louisiana.

ICE said some of the workers had a criminal past - mainly for non-violent offenses.

Officials have not released the workers’ identities.

ICE has not released the identities of the individuals, but authorities say some had prior convictions for DUI and traffic violations.

On Wednesday, Governor Jeff Landry, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and other Trump officials will announce a new facility at Angola Prison to house the “worst of the worst” immigrants arrested by ICE.

Angola is a maximum security facility that can house 6,000. It used to be a plantation.

She was arrested moments after her green card hearing in New Orleans back in May.

Her husband had to drive 3 hours from Baton Rouge to have their infant daughter breastfeed.

Looking at 1st Quarter data from ICE New Orleans, agents detained 6,093 people.

That’s a 24% increase over the same period last year. ICE New Orleans also saw a 9% detention increase in those with no criminal history.

An NOPD officer is conscious after a hit-and-run on Bourbon and Continues just before midnight on Friday.

NOPD arrested one suspect at the car used the in crime at the Canal Place parking lot.

One suspect is still at large.

However, it has not said whether any of the workers during Monday’s Kenner construction site raid had criminal records.

Immigrants with pending cases have also been detained at check-ins.
