That’s not the point. One thing is to migrate builds to new idioms, this where OpenRewrite could help. Another thing is to no longer have access to certain APIs or features due to removals

True, many of these items had an issue where deprecation notices were raised. I wish there was an option to keep old behavior for those of us that don’t require lightning speed builds while sacrificing UX. Alas no such thing is possible if upgrading.

Well, some things are already known, such as the restriction to resolve configurations outside of the project’s context (breaks the enforcer plugin), the removal of -b and -c flags, several lines of code to copy files to please variants when in the past it was a handful, lack of plugin descriptors

And JReleaser 1.21.0 (just released) adds support for the them! Alongside SBOM, SWID, SLSA, GitHuB attestations, and reproducible artifacts 😁
