I keep a list of conferences, JUG meetings, and other events I've participated at for the past 10 years. Would like to add new items to this list.

Don't see your local JUG? Let's talk!

Hmm I don’t know Steve, kinda looks like a pitch to me 🤷‍♂️, an unsolicited pitch as well.

“Java is the new Python” sounds wrong until you remove the ceremony.

JBang + Java 21 finally give Java a scripting workflow without giving up types, concurrency, or performance.

This isn’t a language war. It’s a tooling wake-up call.

I see. We have an open ticket to support publishing to Nix via JReleaser. Haven’t figure out yet how to do it 😅

So, what’s the recommended way with Gradle to bump version numbers (from snapshot, to final, and back to snapshot) with intermediate commits? Similarly as it happens with maven-release-plugin.

Over at the 🐘 social platform someone mentioned #OneDev to me, which appears to be developed in Germany, offering a good set of features that may be worth integrating as well

Thank you! JReleaser already supports Woodpecker. Guess I could write an entry for Crow as well. WRT Forgejo Marketplace, my thoughts were that perhaps an explicit action (native to Fogejo) would be needed i stead of relying on the existing GH action

So, what’s the current state of running CI jobs with Forgejo/Codeberg? Do they have their own action marketplace? Dedicated/managed runners? Etc

Asking for a friend 😉

Another productive pair of #Hackergarten evenings for @jreleaser.org at Basel and Zurich 🤩

Fixed a couple of bugs, filed a couple more, new contributors joined. Overall quite happy with results 🥳
