Unlike courts that deliver a judgment (last ECCC judgement was in 2022) and move on, the ECCC has an ongoing presence in Cambodian society. Engaging communities born after the Khmer Rouge, it raises a bigger question: Should international courts build lasting connections post-trial? (3/4)

With 180,000+ TikTok followers, the ECCC has taken a bold step in engaging Gen Z - something I doubt the ICC or any Australian court (my country) wouldn’t do. Rather than staying in academia, it continues shaping memory at large through social media & public engagement writ large. (2/4)
