It's simple. The minute Russian forces rolled into Ukraine, the only acceptable outcome was for Russian forces to leave Ukraine. Anything else means rewarding aggression, and you don't reward aggression. You learn this in kindergarten. Other points are distractions.

The world is in trouble when great powers feel they can openly play cynically self-interested realpolitik, with not even a veneer of concern for the fundamental principles of human decency. For a short while after WWII, there was a window to make things better. That is gone.

This semester, I am asking students in my 101 for two short reflection papers on anything related to anthro. The number one class of question I get starts with "Am I allowed to..." The number one class of answer I give starts with "yes..."
