A #Lötschberg🇨🇭#EuroCity bound for Germany 🇩🇪 seen at #Spiez in the early 2000s: a #BLS #Re465 hauls a long consist of DB cars. The #verkehrsrot paint scheme has been applied on the first one, whereas others display the orient-red #Produktfarben livery. A #WRmz137 type #DiningCar is positioned fourth.

#Brussels 🇧🇪 in March 2002: an #SNCB #NMBS Class 20 electric is seen here with a #EuroCity consist. This used to be the usual setup for loco-hauled trains on the line to #Luxembourg 🇱🇺 for many years: the six-axle Class 20 was able to develop the power necessary on the gradients of the #Ardennes line.

offenbar die hier. Frachtflug aus Seoul, eine 747. Die Anflugroute hängt glaube ich von der Windrichtung ab. Bei (seltenem) Ostwind geht es direkt über die Stadt.

#Villach 🇦🇹 Warmbad station earlier today: an #ÖBB #Siemens 230 kph Class 1216 electric, certified also for running in #Italy 🇮🇹 and #Slovenia 🇸🇮, is seen here on an S4 suburban service from #Hermagor. The 8,600 HP developed by this loco are more than enough to haul the modest three car consist.

A late morning visit of the lovely #Monfalcone 🇮🇹 train station, very charming, even a bit sleepy, off peak today. Things seen: a #Mercitalia class E.412 - a former “Brenner Lok”, the #Trenitalia #ICN774 from #Rome on its way to #Trieste, and some vintage #FS “logo inclinato” signage from the 1980s.

A few impressions from last night’s #ÖBB 🇦🇹 #DaNi #nightjet trip from #Hamburg 🇩🇪. Arrival into #Munich after breakfast, which was served in the cabin by the sleeper car attendant. (I travelled in sleeper economy.) There’s also a portion from #Amsterdam. This explains the #Vectron in #NS 🇳🇱 livery.

It seems that today marks the end of #DB 🇩🇪 #InterCity #Kurswagen through cars to #Dagebüll Mole. They did split from #Marschbahn services to #Westerland #Sylt at #Niebüll. I digged out this picture taken in June 2007. Back then, an Austrian-built #Jenbach diesel railcar worked the train.

#Salerno 🇮🇹 in April 2012: an #FS #Trenitalia 200 kph Class E444R #Tartaruga (🐢) electric is hauling an #InterCity train, displaying the XMPR livery, reflecting the carrier’s visual corporate identity back then.
