All views are mine, or something that I read in a book.
In the case of our research, which dealt with difficulty of setting up interpreting in vast rural territories with specific pockets of linguistic diversity, it made me think: how to reconcile the need for an underlying infrastructure with the importance of interpersonal relations in community work.

The "translation and infrastructure" panel was Anne O'Connor's and Raluca Tanasescu's idea, and it sparked a lot of conversations about the way in which infrastructures of tools, people, laws and institutions shape the transmissions of ideas.
