Just watched Barbie for the first time and loved it!

However I think my brain broke when Ncuti Gatwa (basically The Doctor) mentioned Stephen Malkmus, Lou Reed, Wire and The Fall in one sentence... In the Barbie movie!

Lmao

Does anyone else get super freaked out over sudden praise and compliments or is that just me?

People like her are the true thugs and criminals of this country. Not immigrants or trans people.
One of JK Rowling's TERF friends was just arrested for assaulting a pregnant woman and a 10 year old child. She threatened to post pictures of them on Facebook calling them pedophiles for being at a LGBTQ event.

We told you this would happen.

if you're a minority you can't talk honestly about your country and how it treats you without what you say being 'laced with hatred for britain'

As a Jew I am far, FAR more alarmed by our institutions equating me and other Jews with the IDF, who are responsible for the murder of over 80,000 Palestinians, by dint of framing any critique against the IDF as ‘antisemitism.’

Linking all Jews to the IDF is *actual* fucking antisemitism.

It's taken me a while to post this as it's such a big loss but RIP Brian Wilson.

I've never felt more of a personal connection with anyone's music and life than his. He showed such kindness even when suffering the most. He not only changed music forever, but made us all smile.

The sweetest soul.

I think I'm at that point in life where I've either got to figure out how to maintain relationships with friends or figure out how I can feel content with being lonely/alone

There was a lovely moment on the way home today where an old woman showed interest in the trans woman who just got on. My cynical brain went "oh no here we go again" but I was proven wrong.

They just sat together and had a really lovely conversation. I didn't hear as I had headphones but still nice

It should've been Phoebe Waller-Bridge...

SPOILERS: second time watching The Well and I still hate it.

Midnight was never really about the monster. It was both a fascinating character study of the 10th Doctor and how humans can turn on each other and become monsters when they're most fearful. Making a sequel to THAT is already a bad idea.

I've never seen a Doctor Who episode go from amazing to awful so quickly.

SPOILERS for The Well: but I HAAAAATED that twist so much I genuinely despise it. We could've had an awesome original cosmic horror story and not turn the most mysterious thing in Dr Who into a monster of the week thing. UGH.

I think I'm one of the only ones that didn't love Lux...

There are certainly aspects that I really like, but it felt way too structurally similar to Devil's Chord to the point where it just felt like a weaker version imo

A little message to trans people (especially in the UK today):

You are seen, you are heard and you are beautiful. Never let any hateful, despicable groups try to push you in the dirt of their own making. Never back down and never let anyone tell you that you don't exist. You're fucking brilliant.

Even without knowing their politics, that For Women lot look, act like and sound like they fart in paper bags and save them for later to happily sniff till their hearts content

He signalled me out for laughing but it was still the best live thing I've seen (maybe ever?)

Having your favourite comedian look directly at you and tell you off felt like I was tripping it was so surreal lmao

CONTEXT: GMB hosted a poll where it was "Is it ever ok to smack a child?" (or something like that) 62% said yes.

Most of the country (or viewers of GMB) is fine with child abuse to the point where they would publicly support it.

Honestly tho, what the fuck?
So apparently 62% of the UK is fine with child assault now...

JD Vance is the beef brisket that had to get thrown away at the buffet because people complained about the smell and the small patch of mould growing out of it.

To be fair, that beef brisket is quite repulsive
