A blistering, excellent, gloomy read. I can't agree with all it says about the value of print - after all, I read it on a smartphone. But I do see that most of the latest generation seems incapable of even doing that.

If you fancy playing with it, you can always install Home Assistant (in a virtual machine on any computer that has enough memory) and then the National Grid integration and my charts. github.com/JRascagneres...

I settled on this order because there will always be a day frequency of demand anyway, which solar aligns well with, and I wanted to use somewhat intuitive colours. Yellow for solar doesn't show up on a white background so I'd need to switch to a dark theme...

Home page - on a website? Which address? There are/were at least two mobile apps for Tuya, one called Tuya and the other Smart Life. I have the impression Smart Life is the more maintained. Devices retain their schedule even if disconnected from network but you might need to reset (hold down button)

It's all about the electricity tariff. Then you can optimise insulation if needed. But the boiler upgrade scheme incentive requires all the costs up front. Our triple-glazing is now installed for next winter's data collection to begin.

I'm surprised that Saturday will go so low - but I agree that's what GB-60 predicts for a brief slot before 4pm. Sunday should on that basis be spectacular!

If you get internal units with built-in thermostat, you can check if they know about the different offset in heating mode vs auto as well. We had to set 25C to achieve 20C in Auto, but in Heating mode it's adjustable. 25C Auto worked pump harder than it needed to. www.manualslib.com/manual/21601...
