I was delighted to join the discussion at Chatham House on the Balkans, sharing thoughts on how we can counter Russia’s influence in the region. With the U.S. lifting sanctions on pro-Russian Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik, it’s more important than ever for Europe to step up.

Tragic that a judge was killed today in a courtroom in Albania. Heartfelt condolences to his family. For those of us following the state of the rule of law, this horrific act felt like it was only a matter of time — a stark reminder we must not look away.

OPINION: EU members must challenge the message they’re currently sending: that the EU isn’t serious about fighting corruption within its own walls, while it’s happy to take the moral high ground elsewhere.
