I said most cis people I know - ie they know at least one trans person. But I only know a few hundred people, and there are eight billion on this planet. I bet most don't know a trans person.

Everyone I know is either broadly supportive of trans people, or a trans ally. But quite a few of those have told me they viewed trans people negatively until they saw me come out (2017). More cis people need to know more trans people and realise we're just normal people.

Spot on. Most cis people I know think we're still in the "live and let live" years. They have no idea the UK has dropped from No 1 on the European Rainbow Map to 22nd.

Sadly, that could not happen in my town. This week, we elected a fairly well known TERF as Mayor. Any such letters from trans kids would make no difference to her.

I'm 99% sure your case will win - the errors in the Supreme Court ruling are so obvious. Alas, I think the hard right will then take the European Court of Human Rights decision as an excuse to drag us out of the ECHR and the European Convention on Human Rights. God alone knows what will happen then.

I've considered moving abroad, but this isn't only a UK problem - it's a West problem. Other countries may be better than the UK right now, but they could just as easily go the same way we have in the future with the rise of the far right across the West.
